New Year, Same Me

Oftentimes, we think that during a new year, we must become a new us, or I must become a "new me."

It’s true that we all want to be a better version of ourselves, because we view the new year as an opportunity to start fresh. However, you are still you, and I am still me. Just because time has gone by doesn’t mean the lessons, situations, and everything else from the past that has fostered our well-being and make us who we are now, should be forgotten. Please keep this in mind while writing new years resolutions, which should be realistic and thus attainable!

The constructive part of our past and most importantly, what we’ve learned from it will only help us grow and flourish as an individual in the years to come, similar to the bright daffodils in the image, which symbolize positivity and new beginnings (that build upon past ones). Ultimately, this will help us achieve progress in our own journeys of reaching purpose and fulfillment.

Wishing you all a happy new year!!

Note: This is not to say you should dwell on mistakes from the past; use them to reflect, reshape, and improve your goals, interests, needs, and more.
